On Friday, June 26, the rain stopped just in time for CASL’s FREE Family Block Party held in front of our 2141 S. Tan Court headquarters. Families filled our street, parking lot, and backyard to partake in a wide variety of activities including carnival games, face painting, dancing at the DJ booth, lots of food, and partner tables with plenty of giveaways. Guests had their block party Bingo card marked at each activity, enabling them to win books, toys, and other prizes!

“Thanks to the efforts of CASL staff and volunteers, we welcomed 356 children and family members for an afternoon filled with games, community resources, and smiles. We received so many compliments from families about how organized, fun, and welcoming the event was. Anyone who couldn’t make it this year should check back with the CASL Education Center next spring!”

– Helen Cao, CASL Associate Director of Children Services

CASL Education Center is part of CASL, a trusted community organization serving families for decades. CASL’s preschool program was first launched in 1985, and has since expanded to include early childhood, K-5, middle school, and high school afterschool programs. Our education programs are rooted in CASL’s mission to empower individuals and strengthen families through culturally informed services.

We believe that learning is strongest when children feel seen and supported. Our programs reflect this belief by integrating language, family engagement, and holistic child development into everyday learning experiences.
