Threads of Change: Partnerships in Action with CNA

For Victoria Tso, security remediation analyst at CNA, support for CASL is deeply personal. Her connection to CASL spans generations—from childhood cultural programs that helped her embrace her heritage to essential services that supported her grandparents’ health and dignity. Today, as a leader within CNA’s Asian Professionals for Excellence (APEX) Employee Resource Group, Victoria continues to strengthen community ties by championing partnerships rooted in inclusion, cultural pride, and opportunity. 

Her story reflects how CASL’s impact weaves through families, workplaces, and neighborhoods—creating threads of change that strengthen communities and inspire the next generation. 

I was inspired to get involved with CASL because its impact has touched both my community and my family. Even before serving as the philanthropic chair for CNA’s Asian Professionals for Excellence (APEX) ERG, I had personal experiences with CASL’s programs. 

As a child, I participated in CASL’s Chinese dance and cooking classes, which helped me embrace my cultural heritage. My grandparents also benefited from CASL’s healthcare services, which provided them with care and dignity. These personal connections showed me how CASL empowers individuals and strengthens families, and that motivated me to give back and support their mission.

CASL creates a safe and supportive space where people feel heard, understood, and valued. By listening with empathy and offering resources that help individuals thrive long-term, CASL ensures that every person has the tools and confidence to build a brighter future.

Looking ahead, I’m truly excited about CASL’s transformative redevelopment project and the creation of the Bridgeport campus. Bridgeport is home to a vibrant Asian community, and this initiative represents so much more than new buildings—it’s about expanding opportunities and resources to meet the evolving needs of the people CASL serves. 

This project will strengthen community connections, provide innovative programs, and create a welcoming space where individuals and families can thrive. Seeing CASL invest in the future of such an important neighborhood inspires me and reinforces why this mission matters so much.
